My husband Jonathan Autry was sued for Copyright Infringement. Two videos were in question that were used to point out Ergun Caner ‘s words that contradicted factual information.
Yes, I worked at Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary and received the first Presidential award by my former boss Dr. Ergun Caner.
Mr. Gibbs attorney of Ergun Caner stated to Judge Moon that my husband was a disgruntled former employee that he fired. Yes, my hubby was a student at the seminary, but he did NOT work for Dr. Ergun Caner or in the Seminary and was NOT fired. One month later he told the court that he had no prior knowledge of my husband.
Yes, the Caner’s, Dr. Ergun Caner and Jill along with the LBTS faculty wives at the time in 2006 held a baby shower the week before I gave birth to my first born in 2006. Yes the picture frame in the corner of the room is the gift given by the Ergun Caner.
Yes, in June 2013 it was asked that my kids ages now 7,6,and 4 and I sign a non-disparagement by request of Dr. Caner.
*All documents pertaining to the Ergun Caner lawsuit for either Jason Smathers or Jonathan Autry are available to the public and you can search Google and find them, some may cost you to view. As you know the case with Jason Smathers was dismissed on April 17, 2014. The Lawsuit with Jonathan Autry was Granted Motion for Summary Judgement on May 14, 2014.
On July 1st, 2014 the court ordered Ergun Caner to pay $34,389.59 in legal fees.
