I don’t know of any girls who are in wrestling, but I think that it shouldn’t be restricted to just boys. If girls want to be on the wrestling team no one should tell them they can’t because they are a girl. Some girls I’ve seen can take any boy down and win in any sport!

I don’t really see a problem with it. it’s a way to stay active and to maybe relive some stress/anger without actually “hurting” someone. It could also teach a lot of self defense techniques.

Not my favorite sport but I don’t see a problem with it for girls who are. When I was in high school, we weren’t allowed to participate in any sports … and some of the reasons used then are probably used in re wrestling

I don’t see why it should be issue. If the girl or woman is physically fit to handle what it requires, why not? I have a daughter who is currently in ROTC for high school and is wanting to go into the service once she graduates. As a mom I don’t want to see her be put n a combat situation because she is my baby but ii do believe in giving her a choice in the direction she chooses to pursue. Why should we limit our kids because we think it’s a boy sport or girl sport or career….

Girls should be allowed to wrestle if they choose. My cousin is 9 and she plays midget football. They gave her a hard time but had to play her. She was the first girl to play for her twp. She will continue to play as long as she wants. As far as combat, of were allowed to join in the first, we should be allowed on the line!!!

I think girls and boys should be able to participate in any sport their heart desires. I think it is an excellent opportunity and I believe sports teach respect for one another and discipline all of which benefit you in life!

I dont see anything wrong with girls wrestling. My stepson is in wrestling and there are a few girls and they are better then most of the boys. Women are just as capable as men to do any sport they choose.

I don’t think girls should be told they can’t do anything “because they’re a girl”! Isn’t that telling them they are not as good as a boy? I don’t want anyone stopping one of my granddaughters from doing what they want to do simply because they are a girl!! If they are physically capable let ’em go!!

Girls should be able to wrestle if that’s what they want. As long as they are conditioned and are properly trained there shouldn’t be a problem. Boys are allowed to be cheerleaders, so why can’t a girl wrestle.
