How to Make Power Rangers Samurai Masks Rebecca Autry Creations

September 4, 2019 by rautry

So I kinda cheated! I used my Cricket to make the cuts and I just glued them together! These are pretty easy to make Power Rangers Samurai Masks.

I first looked at the guess list and determined how many kids I will have coming. I came up with 12 potential kids!

6 Boys and 6 Girls! Nice and even huh!

So I then decided I was already making the red and blue rangers as the invites and the Thank You cards so I used those patterns and just increased the size to fit 8.5 x 11.

The two boys who birthdays we are celebrating one like the red and other blue. Since I have an even number of boys and girls, I decided to do 3 of each including the girls. So I made 3 Red, 3 Blue, 3 Pink, and 3 Yellow.

You be the judged but the yellow one looks really off to me. I’m not so much of a perfectionist so I am just leaving them as is.

After the circuit made the cuts for me, I realized I needed to make eye holes and mouth holes which were not part of the original patterns. I kind a just eye balled them. All the material from cardstock to glue I already had. I am into scrapbooking even though I have not scrapbooked in almost 2 yrs I still have a lot.

For the patterns I simply used images found by doing a Google search. As for the ties on the Masks I used pipe cleaners. When I was going thru my craft bins I found a ton including un-open packages of white. Since the mask are only designed to fit on the front of the face I needed two pipe cleaners to fit around the head. This makes them adjustable.

I punched a whole on each side of the mask near in line where the ears would be. I folded them and then taped the edges so they won’t poke anyone in the head. (I learned better this time!)

I then just connected the two cleaners in the back and just raveled them to loosely stay together so they can be adjusted to each kid as needed.

That’s pretty much it!. I hope you get some great ideas for your Theme Birthday party!

How to Make a Super Mario Pipe Floor Decoration

September 4, 2019 by rautry

Are you having a Super Mario Theme Party? The Mario Brothers have no doubt continued to be popular among children today. This simple Super Mario Pipe Floor Decoration is just a fun addition to any party. Below you will find a list of supplies you need as well as step by step instructions with pictures on how to make a Super Mario Pipe Floor Decoration.

First left me tell you a story about this Pipe!!! I started creating it in my living room as my son’s birthday party approached, I moved the pipe outdoors to work on since it was rather nice outside. The neighbor kids would come over and play with my children. As they saw me working on the pipe they were intrigued by the massive size and when I explained what I was making they asked if they could play with it when I was done. My response, “Of course”. So yes this Super Mario Pipe was a huge success prior to the party, during the party and even a few weeks after. See kids will be just as excited with a box that inspires lots of creative and imaginary play. I have to admit I even enjoyed playing as if I was Mario coming out of the pipe like you do in the game!

How to Make a Super Mario Pipe Floor Decoration

What you Need:

– Large Cardboard box

– Packaging Tape

– Lots of Green Paper or Green Plastic Table Clothe

Most of these items can be purchased at Dollar Tree. The Large Cardboard Box was from Bunk-bed box.

See ALSO:

How to Make:

1. First take your cardboard and cut it in a circle and tape it with packaging tape. Make it as tall as you desire.

2. Next you will make the rim which needs to be about 4-8 inches longer.

3. Cut a cuff rim about 2 inches bigger than your base. You will want to cut out the middle as well.

4. Attach the cuff rim to the base using tape.

5. Then attach the rim using tape to secure tightly.

6. Cover your Pipe with green paper or if easier and more cost effective use green plastic table from Dollar Tree. Below I covered with green shiny material that I got from my sister from a bag she was going to donate after her yard sale.

That is it! You are done!

I used newspaper for stuffing the rim. I also used old flag material I got from my sisters yard sale that didn’t sell. The box I used was a wardrobe moving box. So my Super Mario Pipe Floor Decoration was absolutely FREE for me.

10 Great Gifts for Kids from Dollar Tree Rebecca Autry Creations

July 21, 2019 by rautry

In my opinion these are great gifts for kids from Dollar Tree

1. Books. My kids love book and I am thankful. If you want your kids to read then five them books because they might just pick it up and like it!

2. Coloring/Activity Books/flash cards. Both my boys have very different learning delays but we love using these activity books at hope. My middle kid learned his shaped because of the activity books from Dollar Tree.

3. Puzzles. Work on those fine motor skills and give them something they can accomplish on their own or even as a family. They make great gifts.

4. Hard Plastic Animal Figurines. My kids love having any plastic animals and we can’t afford the big sets you get at Target or Wal-mart but we can afford 1 animal at a time and now their collection has gotten bigger. Also they learned what each animal noises they make and how to sound them out correctly. Its a great learning tool for our family and might just be for yours as well.

5. Dress-up Accessories. My little princess loves dress up and since she breaks things I rather giver her some cheap items then more expensive ones. Also some of the Dollar Tree items are better made then then ones you can find in the $1 section at Target. Dollar Tree also has other great dress-up accessories like Fireman and Hard Hats. They also have gloves, tutus, and fireman plastic jackets.

6. Oven Mitts and Apron. Do you have a little kitchen helper? My kids try they really try so I know a great gift would be for them to have their very own apron and oven mitt. You could even get them their very own special spatula or mixer!

7. Stuffed Animals. One year my husband and I were at Dollar Tree looking for some items to put in the kids Easter Baskets and we came across 6 different whales and sharks stuffed animals. I was hesitant because at the time our kids were very very young that I thought these were to old for them. However now they still love playing with them plus our 6 yr old now knows tons more about whales and sharks and the different kinds.

8. Ear Buds and docking station. These would be more for the older kids but Dollar Tree has a great selections on phone cases, ear buds and ipod/iphone docking stations. I just got myself an ipad back cover and its much thicker than the one I got from Wal-Mart.

9. Flash lights/tools. Older kids may be interested in build items from their own hands or evening helping our around the home like replacing blinds or tightening handles. Whatever the case maybe getting them started with their very own tools may just be the right gift for them.

10. Gardening Supplies. You’ll be amazed at the gardening items Dollar Tree has. They has seeds to gardening gloves to shovels and much more. You can even get a Watering Pot!
