LED Light Review

The other day, I wanted to turn on a lamp to read a book. A couple of feet from my face, the heat from the halogen bulb was slightly annoying. Growing up, bulbs give off heat. During the summer, we would keep the lights off as much as possible during the day to save on air conditioning. However, in recent years, LEDs have changed things. My family bought two emergency LED lanterns. Unlike traditional kerosene or incandescent lanterns, one can sleep with these lanterns next to their heads and not worry about a burn.
The heat from the halogen bulb was a minor inconvenience to be sure, but one that I did not have to tolerate since with a spare LED around the house. In fact, I am typing this review underneath the lamp and although the light has been turned on for about an hour, the bulb is still cool to the touch (though the metal casing at the base of the bulb is warm). Only a few years ago, one could tell a big difference in light quality between an LED and an incandescent. However this LED is indiscernible and you would not know if I did not tell you. Then again, you could always touch the bulb to find out.
You can purchase a Reveal LED HERE and try it for yourself.
