September 14, 2019 by rautry

Below you will learn the supplies you need and how to use to remove tough stains. So I learned something new today. I learned that you can use original shaving creme the Foam kind to remove tough greasy stains.

I haven’t personally tried this but the person who mentioned it in conversation said they do it all the time for their Sons’ clothes that get grass stains. They said it works great on sweat stains.

So before I started to write this new found cleaning tip I did a simple Google search. Sure enough here is an article that shaving creme can beused to clean stains found HERE and HERE is a YouTube video showing you how to use shaving creme to clean a stain.

So have you tried Shaving Creme to clean stains? What is your favorite stain remover homemade or store bought.

Feel free to post your favorite cleaning solution, I love getting new tips.

Thanks again for reading and if you are in a de-cluttering mood like me check out my post on Simple Ways to De-clutter.

How to Save on Flower Girl Dresses Rebecca Autry Creations

How to Save on Flower Girl Dresses

Flower Girl Dresses do not have to be expensive and the reality is they only need to last a couple of days! Perhaps if you are

sentimental you may want to hold onto them but keep in mind little girls are just as active as boys and they will make a mess of their dress by the end of the day. Think realistically that yes you want the flower girl to look fabulous but its doesn’t have to cost you an arm and a leg. Spend your wedding budget wisely and put it somewhere else.

Here are some ways to Save on Flower Girl Dresses

1. Sales. Look for sales around Easter and Christmas.

2. Clearance Racks. The best place to save a ton is checking out clearance racks at Macy’s, Kohl’s and many other department stores. If you have coupons that will make for even better deals.

3. Outlet Stores. Some outlet stores run their highest sales at the beginning of the year and during the summer.

4. Yard Sales. We found my little princess dress for my sister-in-laws wedding at a yard sale. It was originally a $100 dress and bought for $15.

5. Online. There are many places like DressFirst.com that you can find rather inexpensive dresses.

6. Consignment Shops. You will be surprised by the great deals you can find at consignment shops. Check out Once Upon a Child or ask around what other consignment shops are in your area.

7. Thrift Stores. Thrift Stores can be such a blessing when you are looking for cheap Flower Girl Dresses. Remember if you find a dress a bit to large you can always take it in and adjust.

8. Friends. Ask your friends someone might have just gotten married and their flower girls are not going to wear the dresses again or they might have one from previous Easters or Christmas. You might also find out from a friend that they know someone who has a dress to sell.

9. Renting. Have you thought about renting? It not uncommon to rent the boys tuxes so consider renting a flower girl dress. Here are some to consider renting.

10. Make your own. Not the most cost effective but if you are good with coupons and have the time along with knowing how to sew you can make a dress of your own exactly how you want and for a cheaper price.

Simple ways to do a quick Decluttering Rebecca Autry Creations

September 14, 2019 by rautry

First off if you are reading this then you are in need of a large way to decluttering your home.

Well we are going to give you a few simple steps to get started this is by no means a way to completely decluttering your home.

1. Write out your goals. What is it that you want to accomplish by decluttering your house? It’s important to know why you want to declutter to help you achieve your goal.

2. Start small. Break your overall goal into smaller more achievable goals.

3. Do one room at a time. Break each room into smaller achievable goals such as organizing papers in the kitchen or labeling your cabinets. Write down each thing you want to do. As you accomplish each task mark it off.

4. Leave the more time consuming goals to later. Normally I wouldn’t recommend this but in this case the more, smaller quicker goals you do the really harder ones become much easier.

5. Utilize baskets. To pick up a room of items that don’t belong use baskets one for each room to go thru each night and put everything in them that doesn’t belong so it’s relatively picked up and you can sort in the morning when you clean.

6. Sort into 3 categories. When you start to go through a room take 3 bags or baskets and make 3 categories; Toss, Keep, Sell. Put items in those as needed. When you are done take out the toss pile to the garbage immediately so you don’t have the urge to hold onto it. I’m serious about this you are more likely to hold onto it if you let it sit! Same with the Sell put it in the garage or a closet designated for yard sale items, out of sight out of mind and what you do keep will be much easier to organize and find a place for.

7. Organize in Categories. Once you have what you want to keep organize everything by categories like all shorts together or all Tupperware items go in the same category. Making these categories will help you decipher where to put thing away and be an easier way to find them later.

8. Take a deep breath! You have now gotten some tips on how to declutter pretty quickly so go have a soda or a snack and get started.

Big Hero 6 Party Ideas

September 10, 2019 by rautry

From the creators of Tangled, Wreck-it Ralph and Frozen comes an all new Disney Animation called Big Hero 6 designed after a Marvel Comic.

Can’t find Big Hero 6 Party Decorations at a reasonable cost? You came to the right place! If you are looking for inexpensive easy ideas you can make quickly to make an epic Big Hero 6 Party here are some great ideas you can make on your own.

Make your Big Hero 6 Birthday Party customized with these suggestions below without the high cost.

See Also:

Big Hero 6 Invitations

Baymax Invitations -You can make either Baymax Marshmallow type invitations as pictured above or you can make the Baymax Mask invitations like the ones below.

Using Red, White and Black cardstock you can make Baymax Red Mask Invitations to build excitement to your Big Hero 6 Party.

Big Hero 6 Party-ware

Baymax Cups – Take Red paper cups that you can find at Dollar Tree for 8ct for $1. If you plan ahead you can find red paper cups on clearance after Christmas for the fraction of the cost. (My kind of shopping!) I used White paper cups as shown above and used a black sharpie and drew on the eyes to make Baymax. Either way makes for a great addition to a Big Hero 6 birthday party.

Baymax Plates – Take White Party plates and instead of writing or gluing on the black for his eyes on the front of the plate, turn the plate over and glue or draw them on the back. Lay them facing down around your party table to give the effect of Baymax. These are so simple and easy to make. You can get 20ct white dinner paper plates for $1 at Dollar Tree. Use either black construction paper or a black sharpie.

Baymax Napkins – Use White napkins you can 24ct for $1 at Dollar Tree and wrap them around the plasticware as you would normally and tie them with white or red ribbon. Draw on them the black eyes with the permanent marker. Beware the marker will bleed through the napkin so be careful.

You can also grab some red napkins and tie as normal and add the mask from cardstock as your napkin holder!

Baymax Favor Bags (Baymax Loot Bags)

Take red paper favor bags, you can get a 10 pack at Dollar Tree for a $1 or $.33 each at Wal-mart. Using white  cardstock you can add the necessary parts to make the mask. You can also use White paper bags found in the snack bags in the grocery isle. Just use black cardstock to cut the circles or make it a bit easier and draw them with a black sharpie.

Honey Lemon Favor Bags

After watching the Big Hero 6 over and over, I realized we can make some fashionable Honey Lemon favor bags for the girl guests of your party.

Baymax Masks – Use red and white felt. The eyes will be cut out as the black part so no need for them. All you will need to do is draw a black line in the middle. Take a yellow or gold paper bag and add purple hearts on each side. Add a purple bear face to the one side and add a bead string for a handle.

Honey Lemon Accessories

Yellow Hair Band – Make these easy Yellow Hair bands that resemble the ones Honey Lemon wears in Big Hero 6.

Pink Glasses – Honey Lemon also wears big pink glasses.

Big Hero 6 Wall Decorations

Baymax Christmas Ornaments – Use White or Clear Christmas Ornaments

Baymax Balloons

Big Hero 6 Party Games

Balloon Animals – This is a must. Either learn how to make your own by watching You Tube videos or find someone who can make them for you because this will be an absolute hit for any kids party.

Food Ideas

Big Hero 6 Marshmallow Treat – You will need 1 Jumbo Marshmallow, 5 Regular size and toothpicks to pull these cool treats off!

Big Hero 6 Cupcakes – Make cupcakes as directed according to package. Take White frosting and cover the top. Take Cool Whip and lather a clump and add a Jumbo Marshmallow to the top.

Baymax Cake

Baymax Popcorn Balls – Take popped popcorn and melt some marshmallows and make your popcorn balls. While they are still warm slightly place in your chocolates for the eyes.

Baymax Accessories

Baymax Masks – Use Red, purple and white cardstock to make your Baymax Masks, boys love these.

Big Hero 6 Thank You Card

Big Hero 6 Pinata

In keeping with the awesome theme you can easily make Big Hero 6 Pinata by either taking a balloon and using paper mache to cover it or you can use a cardboard box (my favorite) and shape it accordingly to Big Hero 6 head. I like to use Christmas boxes because they are thick and sturdy enough to withstand several kids but thin enough to manipulate. Check out Baymax Pinata tutorial.
